This site is a very sim­ple archive type blog fea­tur­ing a bunch of book cov­ers from mine and my girlfriend’s very small (but per­fectly formed) library. I got the idea while on hol­i­day in Swe­den recently (bib­lioteket is Swedish for “library” just in case you were won­der­ing) as I was look­ing through my friends book­shelves. I’ve cho­sen book cov­ers that have an empha­sis on sim­plic­ity, typog­ra­phy and illus­tra­tion.

This is a single page photo diary I made documenting my vacation to Gotland in late June 2012. I wanted to capture the feeling of space and openness I felt whilst there and reproduce it in a responsive web page.

After officially announcing my retirement from DJ-ing in 2010 I have of course reconsidered and will be making occasional appearances around London in 2012 (along with my DJ partner Francois). I will be changing the look of the site regularly whenever we put on a new night.

This is a website dedicated to free fonts that are readily available on the web that I use regularly and would like to share. Of course free fonts aren’t always the best option and good typography isn’t just about pretty fonts, but there are a few out there that are more than worth a look, and I have featured some of my favourites here.

This website is dedicated to the close relationship between music & design. I have previously dabbled with the combination of design and mixtapes/playlists on (the now defunct) Bones Brigade Dj’s blog and also here in a tribute I made to Serge Gainsbourg, but I wanted to take it a step further. The final piece of the jigsaw came to me after I contributed a mix to the fabulous designers.mx project. You can think of each playlist as an art-directed blog post, but with music instead of words.

Take my texture is a website I have put together so I can make available all the texture photographs I take. It’s also an attempt to give something back (however small) to the design world. The site is fluid and responsive so it adapts to whichever device is used to view it.

This is a page I have made inspired partly by a recent thread on dribbble and partly by a desire to give the jQuery plugin lettering.js by Paravel a spin. The page is a celebration of one of my favourite aspects of living in London.

This page is an experiment in using dingbat fonts with the @font-face CSS selector to design a layout. The best browser rendering is Firefox/Opera on windows & Safari/Chrome on Mac. Please do not try this at home, the use of dingbats as web fonts should be reserved for moments of self-indulgent silliness only.

Record center labels are (in my opinion) a great source of design inspiration, being full of interesting colors, shapes, graphics and typography. So I made this super minimal WordPress powered site where I will be uploading loads of examples of cool record center label art. I hope it will become a place where designers can come for a bit of inspiration from time to time.

This is an experimental page using CSS3 to display my record collection as infographics. It started off as just a bit of fun (with semantics put to one side) but I ended up really liking it so put it in my portfolio.
